Jesus said, “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks the door will be opened. Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!” (Matthew 7:7-11)
“Proclaim this among the nations: Prepare for war! Rouse the warriors! Let all fighting men and women draw near and attack. Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruning hooks into spears. Let the weakling say, ‘I am strong!; Come quickly, all you nations from every side, and assemble there. Bring down your warriors, O Lord!
Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision.” (Joel 3:9-11, 14)
It is at this appointed time, many believers are questioning their journey of faith.
Am I confident that I know the gifts that God has entrusted to me?
Even though I believe in Jesus and have been faithful to serve, am sure I know what God has personally called me to do for His glory?
What are my “plowshares” that He is asking me to “beat into swords”?
What are my “pruning hooks” that He has entrusted to me that He is now asking me to “beat into spears”?
We will be sharing about the gifts and calling of God that each believer is entrusted with by our loving Father as a product of His love and our faith. This Sunday, July 27th.
Salt and Light fellowship, Garden of Eden family ministry, 14799 Avon Allen Rd in west Mt Vernon.
Potluck 3pm, followed by praise and worship, the sharing of God’s Words and the opportunity for everyone to share.
“What shall we say, brothers and sisters? When you come together, everyone has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. All of these must be done for the strengthening of the church.” (1 Corinthians 14:26)
