“This is what the wicked are like – always carefree, they increase in wealth.”
(Psalm 73:12)

The Muslims have now offered that once the USA and world are under their control, Allah will give mercy to unbelievers. Instead of killing them, if they pay taxes to them (Allah), they will not only allow you and your family to live but will also protect you from any enemies.
When Jesus as Son of Man was tempted (remember God Himself cannot be tempted), all three of Satan’s temptations were overcome by Jesus through the Word of God. The third temptation was: “Again the devil took Him to a very high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. ‘All this I will give you’, he said, ‘if you will bow down and worship me.’ Jesus said to him, ‘Away from Me Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve Him only.’ Then the devil left Him, and angels came and attended Him.” (Matthew 4:8-11) In the description of the temptation in Luke 4:1-13, it concludes by saying: “When the devil had finished all this tempting, he left Jesus, the Son of Man, until an ‘opportune time.”

That ‘opportune time’ came to Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane. (Matthew 26:36-46). Jesus was sorrowful and troubled and said to them, “My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with Me while I pray. “So He left them and went away once more and prayed the third time, saying the same thing: ‘My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may Your will be done.” In Luke 22:44, it is described this way: “And being in anguish, He prayed more earnestly and His sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground.”
Possibly, Jesus as Son of Man might have had thoughts like we do when we hear the brazen prideful voices of those who persecute, threaten and ridicule us because of our faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus might have thought, “I have lived My life to Your Glory and resisted all temptations that I might be holy and pleasing in Your sight. Why, then, should I sacrifice My sinless life for all of these that choose to live only to please themselves?”
“Then He returned to the disciples and said to them, ‘Are you still sleeping and resting? Look, the hour is near, and the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. Rise, let us go! Here comes My betrayer!”
Death was defeated at that moment.
Jesus asks His disciples that same question. “Are you still sleeping and resting?”
His command for all of us that are true disciples remains the same: “RISE, let us go!”
