I just looked at some random photos on my phone and was amazed at the diversity and simplicity of so many encounters that the Holy Spirit uses to direct our path. At any given moment, we have absolute confidence that God has a genuine purpose in every encounter that He walks into through our love and devotion to Him. Not leaning on our understanding, but on His revealing that to us as we press onward for the sake of the gospel. We have found it is true that there is no real revelation without a mystery.

“He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep, to gain what he cannot lose.”

“What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul? (Mk 8:36)

“For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written: ‘I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.’ For the foolishness of God is wiser than man’s wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man’s strength. Brothers, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things – and the things that are not – to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before Him.” (1 Corinthians 1:18-19, 25-29)

“The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who among men know the thoughts of a man except the man’s spirit within him? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.” (1 Cor 2:10-14)

“Do not deceive yourselves. If any one of you thinks he is wise by the standards of this age, he should become a ‘fool’ so that he may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight.” (1 Cor 3:18-19)

“But when God, who set me apart from birth and called me by His grace, was pleased to reveal His Son in me so that I might preach Him among the Gentiles, I did not consult any man, nor did I go up to Jerusalem to see those who were apostles before I was, but I went immediately into Arabia and later returned to Damascus.” (Galatians 1:15-17)

“But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth. I am writing these things to you about those who are trying to lead you astray. As for you, the anointing you received from Him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as His anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real – not counterfeit – just as it has taught you, remain in Him.” (1 John 2:20, 26-27)
