This is one of the most special gifts of being under the true leadership of the

apostle, prophet, evangelist, teacher and shepherd that the Holy Spirit appointed to lead the New Testament church that prepares God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up. Each office appointed having equal authority and equal responsibility. The home fellowships provide the intimate and close relationships that allowed each believer to be supported as they fulfilled the “works of service” they were called to do.
“All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions were their own, but they shared everything they had. There were no needy persons among them.” (Acts 4:32, 34).
Recently, we had a family that needed to go visit some of their family living in another state, but needed help to take care of their farm animals. They didn’t need to sell their farm, hire anyone or more importantly beg for help from those that love them and are committed to live as the body of Christ.

For the first time since our family in Moses Lake, including our grand-daughters, were able to go live with their dad and the rest of his family, Linda and I had the privilege of going to visit. It was the day following a surgery their dad had and we had a wonderful time of fellowship with them and other members of their family. We were free to do that because we are with others that help with the many other responsibilities to our church family here. What a blessing to share the responsibilities of the “works of service” we each have been given with each other.

Jesus said: “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:34-35).
If you feel alone or especially if you know Jesus and are involved in fellowship with others but question whether you have the access and support from being “one in heart and mind”, please read the words of Jesus in John 10. If you have any questions or want to chat, we are available.
