Amazing time at Harvest Kids on June 14th. It was a blessing seeing the kids crush cans all aluminum cans get recycled. All the money from cans goes to comfort Africa to help orphaned kids and families. Harvest kids also counted money for the boys dormitory in Nelidi, Uganda. The Harvest Kids reached the goal of $820 to remodel the room in Nelidi, Uganda. They had $120 left over for the next goal which is for the boys double beds, mattresses, in Nalidi, Uganda. 1 double beds is $60 USD which is 260,000 Uganda schillings, 11 double beds $660 USD or 2,376,000 Uganda schillings, 1 mattress $25 USD/ $90,000 Uganda schillings, 22 mattresses is $550 USD $1,980,000 Uganda schillings, and the total $1,210 USD which is a total of 4,356,000 Uganda schillings. The Harvest kids were given a little paper with a kids figure to represent each kid that will receive a bed. We then had a chance to sing together seek first ye the kingdom of God and ask and it shall be given unto thee. We then had our active moving songs to get the Harvest Kids energy out. Then we had word up which was Abba!! Abba!! Which means Father. Anytime we say word up all the kids stand and yell Abba Abba. We read some scripture from 2 kings 5:1-6 and psalms 68:5. We were then blessed to be able to do the memorization game with the Harvest Kids. The memorization verse was Colossians 3:13 Forgive as the Lord forgave you. All the Harvest Kids then took turns praying for the food. We played the M&M game as we ate lunch to share some emotions with each other according to the M&M color. Thank you to Mama Linda for making lunch for the Harvest Kids. We then had a blast playing soccer, going on the swings, trampoline and more. A blast at Harvest Kids for June 28th. I’m thankful that everyone who was there came. It was a wonderful time crushing cans. We are also blessed for a sister in Christ to be helping and match the money we receive for aluminum cans crushed. Glory to the Father. We all read the rules then started counting money for the Nelidi boys’ double beds and mattresses, Nelidi, Uganda. The Harvest Kids counted $184 dollars. We were able to put 6 more beds on the Harvest Kids chart, helping them keep track. The total was $334.25. We then sang a few songs one of the songs says “Jesus loves the little children! All the children of the world! Red and yellow, black and white they are precious in his sight. Jesus loves the little children of the world!” We then had some action songs. Waving flags and banging tambourines and learned the books of the Bible. The memorization verse was John 1:5. The lesson was in Ecclesiastes 11 and Ephesians 5:1-8. It was a blessing being able to be in the presence of greatness. Although there were no Kids this day, we did exactly what we would have done if there was Kids there. We did not cancel. There are too many people who support Harvest kids to cancel. We have gotten so comfortable in the American Church that if something goes wrong, they cancel it. That is not the real Church! Jesus said on this rock I will build my church and not even the gates of hell will stop them. Matthew 16:17-18.
