On January 2, 2026, we dropped off some of the different items that the Harvest Kids use to help share the love of Jesus with others in Marysville. These items, along with the support of the adults, youth and the kids help provide inter-active opportunities to build relationships between young and old that provides support for orphaned and other vulnerable children in central Africa. Clara’s mom and sister’s, Madilyn and Hailey, along with their many friends were led to begin seeking the Lord’s guidance in discovering the many different ways in which trust, respect and love can begin to break down the things that Satan uses to convince us not trust or respect God or love anything or anyone more than ourselves.
Clara and her cousin, Joseph, who is Keira’s son, are very acquainted with the Harvest Kids ministry and supported by Keira, who became the Snohomish Country liaison for Harvest Vision Ministries when her sister, Kylee, went to be with the Lord in August 2024. Ever since, Kylee, Madilyn and Hailey moved to Granite Falls, and after Clara and Joseph were born, as much as possible we would pick them up and drive them to attend the 2nd & 4th Saturday Harvest Kids meetings in Sedro Woolley and then later in Mount Vernon, when we moved there. We
are thankful that they took the initiative to begin using these in their own family right after we dropped them off and we are looking forward to watch how the Lord is going to involve more people in their communities.
The Harvest Kids collect aluminum cans that are recycled and that provide some support and encouragement for African families that are willing to bring orphans into their own families. These families willingly take on the sacrifices that are required and receive the peace and joy that the Lord pours out to them because of their faithfulness. The Harvest Kids also collect money to fund projects that help meet the basic needs of children in different communities in Kenya, Uganda, South Sudan, Burundi and the DRCongo, including education (building schools) and other projects to meet basic needs including farming and clean water.
