When John the Baptist said: “He (Jesus) must become greater, I must become less.”(John 3:30), he was saying that Jesus’s importance and ministry must grow, while his influence and role should diminish as a result. Linda and I were blessed to have been given the vision of the harvest, that is now called Harvest Vision Ministries, and along with the prayers and support of our ministry partners we have watched the vision expand, around the world, but mostly in our own community here in northwest Washington. Many thanks to our sister, who invited us to come and live with her, 3 ½ years ago, and launch the Garden of Eden family ministry which has connected so many people together in our community. Now our sister is preparing to move with her family to Texas and the work we have been coordinating at the Garden of Eden will be spread to different homes and families in the community.
Linda and Ronaldo and myself have been given the privilege of moving and living with Mike and Pam Westberg in Birdsview and will continue being more available to the different aspects of the ministry throughout the community. An example would be, the Harvest Kids instead of being twice a month will meet at different homes allowing us to have better quality time with the kids as they continue to grow in their faith and continue meeting the basic needs of orphaned and other vulnerable children in central Africa. The mobile outeach ministry, car maintenance ministry and firewood ministry will provide the opportunity to help those that are broken hearted and crushed in spirit in our communities and draw us closer to our Father and to each other during our continued journey of faith. We will continue to have the Salt and Light fellowship every Sunday at 3pm at another location in Mount Vernon and continue the ministry with the Lyman church family, Child’s Evangelism Fellowship and the other ministries we are connected with and our communications, including Facebook, newsletters and website will continue. During this season, we are looking to expand our support for ministry to Mexico, the countries we presently co-labor with-in central Africa and to other locations as the Holy Spirit leads.
We are prayerful in our transition and ask for your prayers and support. Sometime in October, we will be staying in Birdsview, even while we are transitioning some of the ministry equipment and other items off the property while our sister prepares for the sale and her move. Now, the central place of God’s church will be in homes (apartments, RV’s or tents) that He has already appointed for that purpose.
“Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes. For you will spread out to the right and to the left.”
(Isaiah 54:2-3)
