“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven, including a time to plant and a time to uproot.” (Ecclesiastes 3-1-2)
We cleaned up the rows and put compost on top.
Linda has been starting seeds and has the greenhouse full of potted plants that will be sent out into the harvest fields and to others for their fields.
They will be planted in soil that has been prepared in advance and “will produce a crop – a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. He who has ears, let him hear.”
“And the one who received the seed that fell on good soil is the person who hears the word of God and understands it. They produce a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.” (Matthew 13:1-23)
And today, as this season of planting begins, these words of Jesus and Isaiah are fulfilled.
“Seek the Lord while He may be found; call on Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on him, and to our God, for He will freely pardon.
‘For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways,’ declared the Lord. ‘As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts. As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is My Word that goes out from My mouth: It will not return to Me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees clap their hands.” (Isaiah 55:6-10)
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider Him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that your will not grow weary and lose heart.” (Hebrews 12:1-3)
In other words – Get ready. Get set. Grow!!
