The Psalmist wrote:

“Whom have I in heaven but you?

And earth has nothing I desire besides you.” (Psalm 73)

The Psalmist simply wrote the words that Jesus first spoke to us.

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord, Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For He chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight.” (Ephesians 1:3-4)

“Whom have I in heaven but you?

And earth has nothing I desire besides you.”

“As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, He saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. ‘Come, follow Me,’ Jesus said, ‘and I will make you fishers of men.’ At once they left their nets and followed Him.” (Matthew 4:18-20)

“Whom have I in heaven but you?

And earth has nothing I desire besides you.”

“Later, knowing that all was now completed, and so that the Scripture would be fulfilled, Jesus said, ‘I am thirsty.’ A jar of wine vinegar was there, so they soaked a sponge in it, put the sponge on a stalk of the hyssop plant, and lifted if to Jesus’ lips. When He had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.’ With that He bowed His head and gave up His spirit.” (Matthew 19:28-30)

He did not say, “I am finished, He said IT is finished.

“Whom have I in heaven but you?

And earth has nothing I desire besides you.”

“Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw Him, they worshiped Him, but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:16-20)

“Whom have I in heaven but you?

And earth has nothing I desire besides you.”

“Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, ‘Now the dwelling of God is with men, and He will live with them. They will be His people, and God Himself will at with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” (Revelation 21:1-4)

“Whom have I in heaven but you?

And earth has nothing I desire besides you.”
