Africa – Request from the brethren, July 11, 2025

As many of you know, we have been blessed to be in partnership with co-laborers in different countries in central Africa the last 20+ years and continue to see salvations, bible school and new church families being planted. Church families help other church families on a regular basis and especially when they are just beginning. On occasion it has been necessary for a church family to borrow money to purchase the land available for a building because the seller has made a requirement of a certain date before they have successfully raised the entire amount and are not willing to take payments for any balance. One of our church families in Mbale in eastern Uganda has been leasing land for a long time and then the owner decided to sell it to someone and gave them six months to find and rent or buy another property. They have found a property but were not able to raise the full amount. Over the years, one of our ministry partners from the Netherlands has made most of the loans and have had them all paid, but because of some other ministry expenses were not able to help with this one at this time. We received this request from Martin who is the director of the ministry in central Africa. If you or your group might be willing to help, we can contact you directly to Martin, or we can help with the arrangements. We appreciate your prayers.

“Good morning. As we talked last time about our church in Mbale {east Uganda}, I finally got a response from Esther and Erik {ministry partners from the Netherlands}, and unfortunately, this time around, they are not able to give us a loan.I was wondering if you could ask the brethren if there is anyone who can give that church a loan of $4,000 to top up on what they have and buy the church property. The church will pay $200 monthly until they complete the payment. They are currently removing their temporary structure to transfer it to a new place if they can get enough to buy it.”
