“This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down His life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and truth.” (1 John 3:16-18)
Many thanks to each of you that offers prayers and the financial support needed to help our co-laborers that sacrifice every day to reach those that are broken-hearted and crushed in spirit in their communities. We give God glory for the testimonies we just received from our co-laborers in central Africa that coordinated 26 different outreaches in May and witnessed 1,144 accept Jesus and who are now being discipled by local believers until they are established into a local church family.
We were also able to send the money needed to replace some tin that was on the roof of one of the first church family buildings we constructed in Juba, South Sudan. The country is in turmoil with many lacking food and water because of the violence and political unrest in their country. There was a violent wind storm that ripped some of the tin off and to ensure no one steals anything, the director of Harvest Vision in South Sudan committed to stay in the building with his wife until the Lord provided the funds to repair the roof. That roof has now been repaired thanks to the faithful prayers and giving of our co-laborers here in the USA. The Harvest kids prayed for the orphaned children in the Nalidi Grace primary school in eastern Uganda and have sent money to repair the floor and paint the walls in the school room the orphaned boys live in. They are now raising funds to build bunkbeds and get the mattresses.
Thanks to each of you that continue to pray and provide the finances to meet this many different needs. Another example of the new testament church wherein: “If one part suffers, we all suffer. And if one is honored, everyone gives praise.”
