Amony Proscovia
"Prossy"

HVA Refugee Camp Coordinator

Gulu & Kampala, Uganda

Evangelist Amony “Prossy” Proscovia was born Oct 15, 1986,
in Gulu in northern Uganda.

Her father and uncles were killed by rebels when she was 7 months old. She remained in Gulu with her mother until she died when she was 5 years old and her aunt brought her to Kampala city to raise her. She moved back to Gulu when she was 15 years old and when she was 17 and visiting a friend, she accepted Jesus and was born again. Her friend invited her to church in Kampala and a few months later she joined choir, intercessory prayer, and hospital ministry in Kampala.  About 1 year later she moved back to her hometown Gulu and joined intercessory prayer and a hospital ministry.  She later became outreach secretary for 3 years and vice-chairperson in the youth ministry.  Afterwards, she went to study in the university where she became the outreach secretary to the college fellowship and outreach ministry.

After some time of studies in Kampala, God called her back to Gulu where she continued in her other leadership positions in church and became the regional youth leader of the church and over 40 branches in northern Uganda.  She ran a small business to pay her rent and meet her personal needs. The first part of 2012, God’s call on her life God united her with Harvest Vision to become coordinator in north Uganda. She was responsible for the sound and video equipment that Harvest Vision provided and with a small monthly allowance, worked with leaders from different denominations to coordinate outreaches in northern Uganda until April 2017. She moved to SW Kenya where she became active in evangelism and teaching pastors and leaders while still working with Harvest Vision in other areas. She began serving as outreach coordinator in South Sudan in February 2018.

Harvest Vision South Sudan was established by Pastor John Light, the first coordinator in October 2015. Prossy has been helping Pastor Martin, the director of Harvest Vision Africa, ensure the requirements to continue to operate as a registered ministry are met since the John’s death. Prossy married her husband, Sam, in August 2020 and they are now living in Kampala. Prossy continued to work with Pastor Martin in South Sudan until Zakiria became the new coordinator. In 2025 she began to help coordinate the ministry to the many different refugee camps scattered in Uganda and the bordering nations.
