USA – Harvest Kids, July 23, 2022

Many thanks to Dale, Zoenicole, and Ruby

for coming to share with these young people at Harvest Kids.

We have only one more Harvest Kid meeting here at the Harvest Home in Sedro Woolley.

We will then be meeting every

Saturday at 10 am

at

the Garden of Eden family ministry

14799 Avon Allen Rd in west Mt. Vernon, Washington

Obviously,

a new season as we leave this place where

Harvest Kids started in July of 2013 nine years ago.

The kids, young and old, crushed all the cans.

Cans that have been donated help the orphans in Africa.

We were blessed to have Dale share some songs off YouTube.

Our sister, Odette, who normally comes and leads our praise time was unable to come.

We sang “Pray for Peace” by Reba McEntire.

This opened up the opportunity to share about “peace”

and the things that take away our peace,

such as anger and impatience,

and the things that give us peace,

such as kindness and prayer.

The kids counted out $170 that had been donated by them

and donations from the strawberries, raspberries, and hazelnuts.

Their total is up to $4,868 toward the $5,800.

Donations are needed for the 6th & 7th-grade classrooms

for the primary school for orphaned and vulnerable children they helped build in Africa last year.

We know they will be faithful to their vision and mission.

We shared a lunch that

Mama Linda made

before she left to take care

of the ongoing garage sale

at the Garden of Eden.

After lunch, we were blessed with another teaching with Zoenicole and the puppets.

The teaching is very creative and interactive

as they learn through

her examples about

how to help someone with anger or self-pity

as Jesus Christ did

and is teaching us to do.

After saying goodbye to the cats, giving hugs to each other,

and picking out a gift from the treasure chest,

we visited the garage sale and petting zoo at the Garden.

The girls picked some strawberries to sell for donations for the school project

and visited the animals with Cheryl.

Joseph helped Caleb with some construction.

They wore out Caleb

so much he had to hang on the inverter to relax.

It has been a blessing to witness the fruit of these young believers

as the land they purchased for farms, clean water projects, and schools

they have helped the Lord provide and

continue to serve the Lord’s work

in these communities ever since they were completed.
