This time,
when we came together for Harvest Kids,
some of the kids got to help bolt the new raised balance beam together
and take the new basketball goal set up before we started crushing cans.
After crushing cans,
the kids counted up the money they had brought along
with some money special donors had contributed.
They found out they have now a total of
$1,798 toward the $2,000
that is needed to purchase the property to expand the
Harvest Doves primary school
The Harvest Kids build this school last year in Kayunga, Uganda.
Praying
that along with some help from a few donors
they will get the last
$202
Feb 12th at the next Harvest Kids.
Thanks to
Odette and Dee
for again leading the kids in song
and teaching them some more sign language.
Wayne
shared a message on
“the Blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.” (1 John 1:7)
He talked with the kids about the sin that
God talks about in the Bible,
which doesn’t hold “little” sin”
any less important than “middle-sized “
or “large-sized” sin.
After using simple examples to explain God’s Word,
he led all the kids
(including the kids up to age 74)
in the sinner’s prayer.
The rest of our time was filled with presenting to the kids
from Granite Falls
what they needed to start a candle ministry there.
Mama Linda helped them make a couple of scented candles,
while the others played basketball, walked on the balance beam, and hit some golf balls.
Lots of extra time to color as always before Dale let them pick a gift from the treasure box.
On the drive back to take the kids
to Granite Falls and Marysville,
we stopped at the petting zoo at the Garden of Eden in west Mt. Vernon.
We saw the 4 new baby bunnies,
visited the animals in the field
and played on the playground.
