USA – Harvest Kids, August 22, 2020

Even though these young people just spent 5 days at the Child’s Evangelism Fellowship 5-day club, they still came to smash cans, count their change and hear and share about Jesus and his love for all people at our regular Harvest Kids fellowship the 2nd & 4th Saturday of each month.

Nalidi Grace Primary School

We were blessed with an incredible testimony from Pr. Patrick who founded and heads the Nalidi Grace primary school in east Uganda where the Harvest Kids are working to provide mosquito nets to the orphans that live at the school. They collected the money for nets for the 25 girls earlier in the year, but as soon as the school received the money the virus lockdown came and the children were without the food. The Harvest Kids agreed they should use the money for food instead of nets and they would start again. They finally raised the money and we sent it to Africa on August 10th. We then started raising money for the 35 orphan boys. This morning Pr. Patrick notified us that they were able to get all the nets for the girls and the boys with the money and only needed 9 more. They reached that goal today. Praise God!

Thanks to Madilyn for reading our scripture for the day:

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in Me. In My Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with Me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.’ Thomas said to Him, ‘Lord, we don’t know where You are going, so how can we know the way?’ Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

(John 14:1-6)

We had a great lunch, celebrated August birthdays and were blessed with a pizza that Carolyn from the Kid’s Club made special for the Harvest Kids.

Everyone enjoyed using the playdough, alligator clips and 9-volt batteries to light up their LED miniature lights. It is a blessing to watch the kids interact with each other as we share about God’s power, the light of Jesus and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in our lives.

Much thanks to Wayne for coming to encourage and share with the kids.
