We are thankful for a beautiful day for the Harvest Kids to be meeting together. We have been blessed with many people donating cans the last two weeks so were only able to crush one large bag full before we went inside to count the donations that had been given to help finish the primary school in Uganda. The kids counted another $109, which leaves only $314 left to finish the sealing and painting for the new classrooms. We also have hamburger that was donated by a local farmer that is available for a $5/lb donation for the school. Please contact us if you are interested. Mama Odette was not able to play her guitar today but graciously led us all in worship and praise including using flags and tambourines. We sat on the floor and enjoyed an Africa meal under the photo of some of the children in Africa enjoying their meal the same way. What a blessing to have these young people understand how privileged we are to be born in this country, which kindles their desire to help them.
Our verse for today was from Luke 6: Jesus said, “Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. Do to others as you would have them do to you.” It is amazing to hear the testimonies from the lips of these young disciples and hear them accept of not just helping their own friends, but extending that to anyone that is hurting. We were able to spend the remaining time we had together in the playground, the petting zoo and checking out the greenhouse and garden.
