We are born separate from God because of our sin nature. That was birthed in us when Adam and Eve ate from the tree of the KNOWLEDGE of good and evil. We are driven by our desire to be the Christian guru that can convince the world that we know why everything is happening and to let them know that we are the only ones that have that KNOWLEDGE. Then we would write a book that everyone would read and ac-KNOWLEDGE us as the author. Sadly, that book has already been written and we find ourselves being called to compete and be the first to fill in all the blank spots: why it is happening and who did it (like the game of Clue) and how it will all end up.
“I am the Lord, and there is no other. I form the light and create darkness, I bring prosperity and create disaster; I, the Lord, do all these things.” (Isaiah 45: 6-7) “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways,’ declares the Lord. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.” (Isaiah 55:8-9) “Consider what God has done: Who can straighten what he has made crooked? When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider: God has made the one as well as the other. Therefore, a man cannot discover anything about his future.” (Ecclesiastes 7:13-14) “We know that we all possess knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up. The man who thinks he knows something does not yet know as he ought to know. But the man who loves God is known by God.” (1 Corinthians 8:1-3) Jesus said, “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (Jn 16:33) “Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30)
