Happy to share that Linda will be leaving San Luis, Mexico this morning after a wonderful time of fellowship with our brothers and sisters south of the border. Linda will be driving the 1,530 miles in company with the Lord and should be back in Washington on Friday morning. Please join us in praying for Olivia’s full recovery from the surgery she had weeks ago to remove a tumor in her abdomen. Olivia, with her husband Miguel, coordinate the ministry in Mexico in partnership with the many co-laborers that the Lord has blessed us with the last 23 years. She was able to visit with Pr. Fidel and his wife, Viviana, and Juan Manuel and his wife, Daunya. Pr. Fidel started the Centro de Suenos church family and a drug rehab right before we started in 2000 and Juan Manuel translated for the first marriage ceremony I officiated at in Mexico. Linda and Olivia were also blessed to spend time with Josefina and her daughter, Brenda, who live two blocks from the mission home. Brenda has been confined to a wheelchair since the first time we walked a block away from the mission in San Luis and carried her to the ministry that the team we were with from Bethel Assembly of God in Sedro Woolley was doing in August 2000. Her mother puts her out under the shade of a tree during the 100+ degree days and she prays for everyone that goes by. Her joy for the Lord when she sings and claps and give God’s praise has been a blessing to so many that have traveled with us on missions for all these years. We have witnessed Josefina dedicate her entire life without complaint to care for her daughter. They are both daughters of our Father in heaven and have established themselves as two of the witnesses in our “cloud”.

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the Cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider Him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lost heart.”
