What a privilege in February 2020 to visit and acknowledge Pr. Sergio and Gloria as the coordinators for Harvest Vision Ministries in El Salvador. Miguel & Olivia, our coordinators for Mexico, joined with Noe, who lives in Burlington, WA and with his wife serves as our liaison to Central America, and myself traveled together.
It was wonderful to travel together and visit families of friends that live right here in Skagit Valley, Washington with us. God’s Word commands us to “Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage – with great patience and careful instruction.” (2 Timothy 4:2)
None of us could have anticipated the impact of the pandemic and the importance of the “great patience and careful instruction” that would be required by each of us, including Sergio and his family, when they were almost immediately in lockdown and Sergio was not allowed to leave his home for a period of time because of his age.
But the Lord revealed how the willingness and faith of his family could continue the work.
Now, as things are starting to open up more across El Salvador, Sergio is able to travel and is currently beginning new home fellowships in Ciudad Arce a short distance from Santa Ana, working in San Salvador where he and his family live and visiting other locations.
