USA – Unless the Lord builds the house, April 28, 2023

“Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labor in vain.” (Psalm 127:1) That”house” could mean a family, a friendship, a business, a fellowship center or a garden. We have set our minds and hearts to do only that which pleases the Lord. “In his heart a man sets his course, but the Lord determines his steps.” (Proverbs 16:9) Once that happens the battle belongs to the Lord and you follow His leading. Whether it is delivering a gift that a faithful brother buys for a widow, helping someone who has truck problems, weeding the blueberries and raspberries or replacing the old marrian berries with new ones.

What a blessing to witness the true church in action. “All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they shared everything they had. There were no needy persons among them.” (Act 4:32-34) “All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need.”

(Acts 2:44-45)

“Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.”

(Romans 12:26-27)
