USA – Harvest Kids, March 11, 2023

Many thanks to our multitude of older Harvest Kids that came today to encourage, fellowship and learn more about the love of Jesus with our younger disciples. It is always a blessing to start with prayer and join our voices together to worship and give praise with Mama Odette who leads us. We were blessed with Betsy and Jeanette from Child’s Evangelism Fellowship coming to share the story of St. Patrick and his journey of faith. The “Word Up” for the lesson was: “God’s protection is better than good luck!” As always, the teaching is very inter-active and allows these young people to ask questions about the teaching. Lot’s of fun and joy in their presentation which is always centered on the true gospel of Jesus Christ. Our art skills were tested making some beautiful clover activity sheets for everyone to take home.

We enjoyed another great lunch prepared by Mama Linda before we counted the $407 that had been collected and which included the donations that have been received for the hamburger donated by a local farmer. That puts us at $1,356 toward the goal of $2,248 for the sealing and painting of the Harvest Doves primary school the kids have been building in Kayunga, Uganda the last two years. We still have this great 90/10 super lean hamburger available for $5/pound donation to help the kids. You can call us at the phone numbers below if you are interested.

Thanks to everyone that helped make cards to include in the bags that were put together for people to take in their vehicles to give to our friends on the streets. Thanks to Zach, Daniel and Cece for helping the kids. We finished with a little water relay, which tests the kids agility, balance and competitive spirit. Afterward, we were blessed with a wonderful day to go out and visit the playground and petting zoo.
