We so much appreciate Ed, who brought Christian and Solly to build the racks for the potted plants in the greenhouse and then came today to help get them set up before Linda and Pam will need them for the plant starts for the garden. While Cheryl was doing her projects for our furry friends that live in the petting zoo, Isaac helped remove the old Marrion berries so we can prepare the soil for the new Marrion and Boysen berry starts that arrive next week. Of course, God’s kingdom has no bounds, so Isaac volunteered to make Ruby a “home” for her guinea pigs that she takes care of out in her yard. We were able to drop that off at her home in Clear Lake yesterday. There are times when being about the “Father’s business” can be over-whelming, even as it was for Jesus Himself (Matthew 26:38), but God always renews our strength so we can soar on wings like eagles (Isaiah 40:28-31) so we can run the race with perseverance and not grow weary or lose heart (Hebrews 12:1-3). Jesus said, “If anyone would come after Me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow Me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for Me will save it. What good is it for a man or woman to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit his very self?
(Luke 9:23-25)
The journey of faith will have it struggles – but the retirement plan is out of this world.
