This morning we will be meeting with the Harvest Kids that come together to share the love of Jesus with one another and reach out to the broken hearted and crushed in spirit vulnerable and orphaned children in Africa. We thank everyone that sacrifices to meet these needs by donating aluminum cans and themselves to disciple these young believers. Today we have friends that live in our local recovery houses that will come and help the kids as we go out to share that same love to our “friends on the streets” in downtown. The Garden of Eden family ministry has been established as a safe, non-threatening environment to meet the needs of those in our community. Thanks to those that come for a time of worship when all the tables are filled with blankets, toiletries, clothes and food for those in need; build pallets for the goats in the petting zoo; welcome new friends to join in worship; play Twister with the kids; prepare items to distribute to those in need; work in the garden; build a greenhouse and help take care of the animals in the petting zoo.
“Now the Lord God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden, and there he put the man he had formed to work it and take care of it.” (Genesis 2:8, 15)
