Many thanks to our friends at the New Earth recovery homes and our local farmer friend that all donated aluminum cans for the Harvest Kids in the last two days. Lot’s of garden work today getting the elderberries in their new “tire” homes and getting the old Marrionberries removed and prepared to plant all new Marionberry and Boysen berries. Linda just got home from her 14 day, 3,800 mile mission trip (driving solo with Jesus) and our sister, Pam, worked real hard in the greenhouse to have plant starts potted in preparation for Linda’s return. We were also blessed with a family and their children that came to visit our friends in the petting zoo.
We will be enjoying our Salt and Light family fellowship tomorrow at the Garden of Eden fellowship center from 3-5pm with a potluck afterwards. You are welcome to join us at 14799 Avon Allen Rd in west Mt. Vernon. This Thursday evening (April 20th) at fellowship center, after breaking bread (potluck) together as we do every Thursday evening, we will have a foot-washing service to honor Jesus’ command to His disciples after washing their feet. (John 13:1-17)
“When He had finished washing their feet, He put on His clothes and returned to His place. ‘Do you understand what I have done for you?’ He asked them. ‘You call Me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord’, and rightly so, for that is what I am. Now that I, your Lord and Teacher have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. I tell you the truth, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. Now that you know these things, you will be blessed IF you do them.”
