The fear of the Lord includes:
A profound and abiding respect and reverence of God and all things He declares holy.
Assigning God Most High the infinite and highest place of honor in your life.
Deeply appreciating the privilege of His presence and the wonder of His Word.
Worshiping God alone with passionate praise and continual thanksgiving.
Honoring what He honors, loving what He loves, and hating what He hates. It is to make His main thing our main thing.
Having an internal yearning to please God and not offend Him. This tempering makes it impossible for the individual to sin casually or persistently.
Submitting of your will to embrace His fully.
The fear of the Lord is a cleansing or purifying agent that endures forever. It is a manifestation of the Holy Spirit and Jesus’ delight. There is absolutely nothing corrupt or deceitful about it.
