The World – The Body of Christ, January 23, 2023

God is incapable of inaction as long as there is one soul left to be saved.

We received this message from Kennedy who coordinates ministry in central Uganda.

“Yesterday three of our evangelism team members got involved in a nasty hit and run accident while returning from the crusade ground. Still in hospital and will need to be transferred to Iganga to have x ray scans to tell if they had any unidentified fractures. The taxi driver knocked them off the road while it tried to dodge a pothole and the driver just ran off leaving them dying in a bush. Keep us in prayers.”

Our prayers are with all the saints, locally and in other countries, that have denied themselves for the sake of the gospel. This weekend, outreaches to those in the DRCongo and follow-up for those were saved in the outreach to Ethiopia. New families joining the Ciudad Arce church family in Santa Ana, El Salvador and the doors have been put in the new classrooms for the Harvest Doves primary school the Harvest Kids are helping build for vulnerable children in Kayunga, Uganda.

We are thankful for the new friends that are coming to help at the garden, visit the petting zoo, support the Harvest Kids and share their faith journey with us and each other. It is a blessing to witness the many ways in which God has called believers to reach out to people in all kinds of different circumstances: homelessness, addiction, broken homes, youth, elderly, sick, in prison, etc. No one gets left out when the Body of Christ works together with equal concern for each other’s burden to reach to whomever they are called and gifted. On a lighter note, two of our long-time goat friends, Roger, and Mason, have moved to a farm close to the Garden of Eden to live with a family that has over 30 goats for them to hang out with. Thanks to those that have taken the bags with items to be given to our friends in the community that are living on the streets and in their vehicles. It is the opportunity to begin relationships and pray that they might be reconciled to our Father in heaven through faith in Jesus Christ.

We are thankful for the new study just started here at the Garden of Eden fellowship center on the “Fear of the Lord”. It is essential that we embrace the fear of the Lord so that the true light of the gospel can be reflected through us to those that are broken-hearted, crushed in spirit and looking for peace in this dark world.

“The fear of the Lord leads to life. Then one rests content, untouched by trouble.”

(Proverbs 19:23)

“The Lord confides in those who fear Him; He makes His covenant known to them.”

(Psalm 25:14)

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow His precepts have good understanding.”

(Psalm 111:10)
