Do you believe that the Bible is the “inspired” Word of God?
God’s Word never changes but the circumstances in our lives are continually changing. God’s Word must be applied to these continual changes. It must be personal and practical.
The “inspired” Word of God only produces fruit when it reveals personally how God distinguishes good from evil in each circumstance of your life and by faith and with the power of the Holy Spirit it becomes the “applied” Word of God.
Warning Against Falling Away
We have much to say about this,
but it is hard to make it clear to you because you no longer try to understand.
In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God’s word all over again. You need milk, not solid food
Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness.
But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.
Hebrew 5:11-14 NIV
Moses wrote the first five books of the Bible.
Inspired and dictated to Him by God Himself.
Now Moses used to take a tent and pitch it outside the camp some distance away, calling it the “tent of meeting.”
Anyone inquiring of the Lord would go to the tent of meeting outside the camp.
And whenever Moses went out to the tent, all the people rose and stood at the entrances to their tents, watching Moses until he entered the tent.
As Moses went into the tent, the pillar of cloud would come down and stay at the entrance, while the Lord spoke with Moses.
Whenever the people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the entrance to the tent, they all stood and worshiped, each at the entrance to their tent.
The Lord would speak to Moses face to face, as one speaks to a friend.
