The World – In the last days people will be lovers of themselves, January 8, 2023

Writer: Papa GeorgePapa George

“But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves…” (2 Timothy 3:1-2)

Received January 8th, 2023.

“The disrespectfulness in my life has got out of hand. It’s amazing to watch how people you think you know can treat each other like literal garbage when they don’t get what they want or are afraid of losing someone or something. They walk all over each other, call names, speak rudely, watch other people break you down and do nothing. I cannot imagine saying you love someone and letting this happen. People constantly tell me to calm down and stress less. How can I? Not only is this happening to me, it’s happening to others as well around me. Sad part is what do you do? Do you hope it gets better? Do you walk away? Do you hope that by leading by example someone or anyone will change?” Response January 8th, 2023

“We were created by a loving God that wants everyone to be a part of His family that will spend eternity loving Him and each other. Jesus confirmed that by becoming like us and confirmed His commitment and plan through His birth, life, death and resurrection. For those of us that accept His gift are given the Holy Spirit which gives us love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. The battle we are in is with our flesh that Satan convinces is god and that we will decide what is best for ourselves. We don’t need a God that would complicate us getting what we want, when we want it and how we get it. The devil was created by God for the purpose to steal, kill and destroy our opportunity to know God and His love and purpose for our being because Satan will never have that so he wants everyone that was created in the image of the true and loving God to not believe the truth and spend eternity in the darkness alone with him.

God’s Word says that in the last days, before He creates the new heaven and earth where He will spend the rest of eternity with those that by faith have chosen to love Him and love others – that everyone else will have reached a decision to only love themselves. When everyone sees this happening we know Jesus will be coming soon to fulfill the promise that He has for a new future that will only have those that believe in loving Him and loving others. We have love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control so others can see they also could choose to live that way. But it comes with the truth that it opposes our natural selfishness and most people will agree with Satan and want to kill us because they have no true peace. Jesus said consider it joy when people ridicule and persecute you because they see Jesus in you and He will bless you with the eternal promise of life in and through Him, forever and ever. So we live by faith, being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we can not see. He will never leave us or forsake us. Eternity is not a destination, it is Christ in us, who is eternal life and gives us peace that surpasses our understanding.”

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels or demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height or depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
