The World – House to House Revival, Feb 23, 2023

“Tell the whole community of Israel each man is to take a lamb for his family, one for each household. Then they are to take some of the blood and put it on the sides and tops of the doorframes of the houses where they eat the lambs. The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are; and when I see the blood, I will pass over you. When the Lord goes through the land to strike down the Egyptians, He will see the blood on the tops and sides of the doorframe and will pass over that doorway, and He will not permit the destroyer to enter your houses and strike you down.”

(Exodus 12)

“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”

(Acts 2:42-47)

“All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they shared everything they had. With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and much grace was upon them all. They were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned lands or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales and put it at the apostle’s feet, and it was distributed to anyone as he had need.”

(Acts 4:32-35)

This global shaking up of all things in heaven and on earth that produces Godly sorrow is to revive the New Testament church as witnessed after Pentecost. Some believers will return to their homes and families which they have treated as their private kingdoms and see them with a new perspective and they will be used to be the hands and feet of Jesus to those that are broken hearted and crushed in spirit. Satan cannot stand against Jesus and when our homes reflect that to the world ridicule and persecution will follow. Coming together and simply agreeing corporately that “everything we have belongs to the Lord” will not satisfy the Lord if it is not true.

“On that day a great persecution broke out against the church at Jerusalem, and all except the apostles were scattered throughout Judea and Samaria. Godly men buried Stephen and mourned deeply for him. Saul began to destroy the church. Going from house to house, he dragged off men and women and put them in prison.”

(Acts 8:1-3)
