John 13:1-17 describes the time before the Cross

when Jesus

“showed His disciples the full extent of His love.”

1. Jesus knew the time was now (vs 1); Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under His power (vs 3);
   

2. Jesus knew that He had come from God (vs3);
   

3. Jesus knew that He was returning to God (vs 3);
   

4. Jesus knew who was going to betray him (vs11).
