George & Linda Henson

Founders and Executive Directors

Pastors George & Linda Henson were married in 1976 after meeting in an alcohol recovery program. Although they have no children of their own, their family includes five children from prior marriages: Jackie, Linda, Jimmy, Christy, and Shane, and the grandchildren. Linda was born in Burlington, WA., and although George talks funny because he’s from Oklahoma, they have always lived in Sedro Woolley, WA. area since being married. George and Linda have always been involved in helping men and women with alcohol and drug problems and have held various positions within the alcohol recovery program. George was instrumental in starting an Alcohol and Drug program for a local union and served four years on the Division of Alcohol & Substance Abuse Citizen’s Advisory Council in Olympia, WA. After working as an electrical apprentice for the first two years of their marriage, George went to work for the Shell Oil Refinery, which later became, Tesoro Refining. George retired as an Operations Supervisor in June 2003 to work in the ministry full-time. George and Linda joined Central United Methodist Church in 1991, where they were involved in many aspects of ministry. George’s “call” to serve the Lord full time was affirmed in Oct. 1997 and the pursuit of this call led them to Bethel Assembly of God in Sedro Woolley, WA. in August of 1999. The Lord gave them the vision for Harvest Vision Ministries while they were on a youth mission trip to San Luis, Mexico in August 2000, and subsequent trips and the ministry began immediately. George received his pastoral license through Christian Life Center in Mt. Vernon, WA., in January 2002 in cooperation with Pastor Billy Farrar, Bethel Assembly of God, Sedro Woolley, WA. George was ordained and Linda received her pastoral license from Christian Life Outreach Center in June 2003, and they were commissioned through Bethel Assembly of God, Sedro Woolley, WA. to Harvest Vision Ministries. Harvest Vision Ministries was incorporated as a non-profit 501-C-3 ministry in June 2002. George serves as the President & Executive Director of the ministry and Linda, as Vice-President, fulfills that role in his absence. The ministry was expanded to Uganda Africa in 2005 and now includes Kenya, South Sudan, Rwanda, Burundi, and the DRCongo. The ministry was expanded to include the southern state of Michoacan in Mexico in 2017 and to El Salvador in Central America in 2020. George and Linda founded the Harvest Vision Church Fellowship in January 2014 where they now serve as the Senior Pastors. In July 2022, George & Linda sold their home in Sedro Woolley and now live at the Garden of Eden family ministry in Mount Vernon, WA.
