Today at the Salt and Light fellowship we shared about our purpose.
“And we know in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose. For those God foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of His Son….” Romans 8:28-29 His purposes to “seek and to save what is lost” Luke 19:10and “The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; He delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:17-18
A beautiful day to join with others praying at the 40 days for life prayer vigil. Interceding in agreement with the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit for the unborn, their mothers and fathers and that everyone that supports abortions will have their hearts transformed to recognize that all lives, born and unborn, matter to our loving Father. Linda then went to fellowship with the Sedro Woolley Community Church and take four more of the Samaritan’s Christmas boxes that the Harvest Kids filled up for less fortunate children in countries where there is great need.
“The first thing God does is get us grounded on strong reality and truth. He does this until our cares for ourselves individually have been brought into submission to His way for the purpose of His redemption. Why shouldn’t we experience heartbreak? Through those doorways God is opening up ways of fellowship with His Son. Most of us collapse at the first grip of pain. We sit down at the door of God’s purpose and enter a slow death through self-pity. And all the so-called Christian sympathy of others helps us to our deathbed. But God will not. He comes with the grip of the pierced Hand of His Son, as if to say, ‘Enter into fellowship with Me; arise and shine.’ If God can accomplish His purposes in this world through a broken heart, then why not thank Him for breaking your?”
