A Word from Pastor (Papa) George

USA – Open your eyes and look to the fields, April 6, 2021

Many thanks to these laborers who donate their time and gifts to help with the Garden of Eden family ministry at 14799 Avon Allen Road in west Mt. Vernon. Finishing up the work on the shed which will house all the different sports and game equipment for the families that come and use the park & picnic area.
Preparing the fields for planting and then potting broccoli starts in the greenhouse at Wayne & Rebecca Watne’s home on the Samish River.
Within the next week, we will be building the children’s playground which pretty much wraps up the prep work for spring and summer use.
Also, the fellowship center has been completed for indoor use and is being used for home church fellowship on
Sunday’s at 1 pm and 4 pm.

Africa – March testimonies, April 3, 2021

What a blessing to prayerfully and financially support our co-laborers sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout central Africa and we are looking forward to hearing all their testimonies. In the interim we wanted to share the news from Burundi where they coordinated 9 different weekend crusades during March and witnessed 547 new believers come into the kingdom. 106 were baptized, not counting the ones that planned on being baptized on Easter Sunday. These will be discipled by local believers until they find a local church family to belong to. We also received the following report from Pr. Titus who coordinates ministry in the Namayingo Region in eastern Uganda.

I praise the Lord who has given us more ripe fields, and this enabled us to conduct the following outreaches and discipleship programs:
From 5/3/2021 to 7/3/2021 we were hosted in KAYUNGA (Bukamba) town by HCF where we preached the gospel to 49 homesteads. Though the place is dominated by muslins, God gave us the grace to win 27 souls.
We also did discipleship programs.
From 9/3/2021 to 10/3/2021 a Bible training class (HVSM) taught by Bishop MARTIN.
On 13/3/2021 we had a prison ministry at NAMAYINGO prison where we ministered to 44
prisoners and 2 officers
From 19/3/2021 to 21/3/2021 we had house to house evangelism in SYANYONJA parish and discipleship at HCF SYANYONJA. Here 12 souls were won to Christ.
On 23/3/2021, I sent evangelists in Nabwere village, Buhemba sub county. Here 4 souls to Christ.
On 25/3/2021 one team preached the gospel in Buboko village (4) souls while I and another team we ministered in 2 schools in Namavundu primary school and St Noah nursery and primary school. It was gracious. In one school they even hired machines for us.
Some nearby parents came to hear the gospel when they heard machines. In St NOAH we ministered to 155 pupils, 9 teachers and some parents. At Namavvundu primary school, we ministered to 175 pupils and 5 teachers.
In both schools, 102 pupils and 3 teachers joined the kingdom of our dear Lord Jesus Christ.
On 31/3/2021, we had market at BUSIA Sofia market with a team from EVERY HOME FOR CHRIST. Here we got 77 souls.

USA – Harvest Kids thank you, March 29, 2021

Last year our coordinators in Africa were not allowed to do outdoor crusades because of the restrictions made because of the pandemic. They immediately began to focus their resources on door-to-door or hut-to-hut evangelism, depending on the regions or countries, and we began to witness an incredible harvest of souls. Many witch doctors and their followers, as well as many from the Muslim faith. We were able to help construct a larger building to accommodate the new believers in Kayunga in central Uganda That left the older building and the pastor stepped into his vision to start a primary school for these vulnerable children. Many from the Muslim faith testified that because they witnessed how much their Christian neighbors cared about the children they would allow their children to attend.

In the fall of last year, the Harvest Kids were able to harvest sweet corn one the local farmers had planted for them and raised over $3,000 to refurbish the mud-brick church building that the government would allow them to use for school this year on condition they build a stronger facility by the end of the year. The Harvest Kids have been raising money for the new classrooms, but Pr. Martin, the director of Harvest Vision in central Africa, contacted us last week and asked the kids if they could donate the money needed to purchase textbooks for the school in time for the teachers to be prepared for the start of school in June. The cost is $800 USD (2,880,000 Uganda Schillings). A couple of the friends of the Harvest Kids, had their family members donate some coins and on Saturday the kids filled up the bullet (their collection container) to over-flowing and it weighed in at 50 pounds. We finished rolling and counting it this morning and it totaled $550, which they added to the amount they had already collected and we are wiring the $800 to Africa this week. Thanks to everyone that prays and helps these young people become true disciples of Jesus Christ that are willing to consider others even more than themselves. Born again from “taking and getting” to “loving and giving”.

USA – Harvest Kids, March 27, 2021

What a blessing to welcome some new young people to Harvest Kids as we think about the meaning of Easter – “For God so loved the world that He gave His One and Only Son”.

We recently recycled 450# of aluminum cans and that $75 will be sent to Africa to help vulnerable children this week. The kids crushed the cans that people had donated and we showed a video of the kinds of projects the Harvest Kids help within Africa. Pr. Martin had contacted us and asked the kids if they could donate the money needed to purchase textbooks for a new primary school starting in Uganda in June.
Thanks to everyone that donated their change that these young people used to fill up their collection “bullet” that ended up weighing 50#. We are confident that will be enough for the kid’s books.
Linda shared about how we are planting “starts” that will later be moved out to one of the garden projects and while the kids were eating lunch Wayne shared an Easter message.
At the last Harvest Kids gathering, everyone met “Dove” the new Harvest Rabbit. Today they were able to put handprints on her new home and then move her in.
Afterward, Wayne continued his Easter message around the fire that Linda built for the kids to roast marshmallows.
After our regular fellowship, we drove to the Garden of Eden family ministry in west Mt. Vernon and set up for an afternoon of bingo hosted by these young people.
We were blessed to have clothes and other items that had been donated arrive at the same time, and as the bingo game went on, the clothes were sorted so they could be given to our friends that live on the streets, either directly or through the Friendship House.
We were also able to make up bags of items, including toiletries and snacks, that will also be available to be given to them, along with fellowship and prayers.
Somehow, in the midst of this busyness, Armando helped Linda finish planting onions in the garden. What better message to not only hear but to witness for these new young believers –

USA – Open your eyes and look to the fields, March 20, 2021

What a wonderful day of blessing at the Garden of Eden family ministry
at 14799 Avon Allen Rd in west Mt. Vernon.
The Lord asked His disciples to look at the harvest fields and pray that the Holy Spirit would bring laborers and the day was filled with God’s faithful answers. We are thankful that God’s vision is being manifested and we are witness to a wonderful spirit of community as believers new and old step into the Father’s business.
We have fellowship on Sunday from 1-3pm, then break bread together (potluck) from 3-4, then have a second fellowship from 4-6pm. The first service starts with contemporary worship and the second service starts with gospel blues and hymns. We desire to create a non-threatening, Spirit-filled environment, washing everything in our lives with the uncompromised Word of God. Sharing our testimonies, including our joys and our sufferings, we can leave with the practical and personal application of God’s Word to our circumstances.

USA – Harvest Kids, March 15, 2021

What a beautiful day that God blessed us with for our Harvest Kids fellowship.
The kids got to meet Dove, a rabbit that is now one of their Harvest Pets. Dove just arrived at the Harvest Home the evening before so she was still adjusting but the kids loved meeting her.
The kids crushed all the cans that had been donated and were able to add a small amount of change to help with their goal to help build another primary school in central Africa. They are finding out it isn’t as easy since people are getting less change because everyone is making their purchases with credit cards.
If anyone can help, the kids would really appreciate it.
Our newest Harvest Kid, Joseph, 3 years old got to put his handprint on the wall…
…and then we enjoyed a snack, while Lynn from Child’s Evangelism Fellowship got set up to share with us.
Our “word up” for the morning was “Obeying God’s Word
will keep you from sin”
and the scripture
that we learned was:
She also shared the true story of Saint Patrick and how he became an evangelist and shared the love of Jesus with so many people. Lynn’s teaching is very interactive and includes songs, memory verses, games and prayer and is really effective in helping them understand and appreciate how much God loves them and why He wants them to live according to God’s Word.
Afterwards we traveled to the greenhouse at Wayne and Rebecca Watne’s home on the Samish River and picked up their aluminum cans, fed the chickens and helped get the greenhouse ready to start growing plants that will later be transplanted to the Garden of Eden farming project in Mt. Vernon and to other locations.
After leaving, we stopped and checked out the Garden of Eden before taking the kids back to Granite Falls.

What a blessing to witness these young people becoming true disciples as they learn that it is better to give than receive. They see and know their willingness to sacrifice their time, effort and resources is helping less fortunate, vulnerable children, including orphans that live 10,000 miles away on the other side of the planet.

USA – About the Father’s business, March 15, 2021

We are so thankful that we are witnessing a breakthrough in the reaction to the pandemic and opportunities are opening up to more effectively reach the lost with the hope that comes from the gospel of Jesus Christ. Harvest Vision Ministries exists to help the Body of Christ reach the lost in their community, whether it is in the USA, Mexico, Central America or central Africa. We trust the prayers of those that would partner to support these co-laborers in the harvest fields where the Lord has positioned them. The Lord has provided three opportunities for the Body of Christ to help supply the finances needed to help them. Donations can be made by mail or egiving or by supporting our fund-raising such as garage sales and produce sales, when we are able to start them. For future sustainability of the ministry, the Lord prompted us to start Walker Motor Works, a used car dealership operated by our granddaughter and her husband, at 9430 State Avenue in Marysville, WA. Kylee, our granddaughter, has been active in the ministry, currently serves on the board and through the business will be helping maintain the support for our co-laborers as long as the Lord desires.

If the Lord prompts you, please join us in helping our co-laborers.
If you need a good, reliable vehicle at a fair price, or have a family member or friend that needs one, please consider WMW. Information can be found at
or call 360-363-4487 or call Kylee 360-540-0890.

Africa – Times of rejoicing, March 11, 2021

We were blessed to receive testimonies of God’s faithfulness as our co-laborers in central Africa reached out to the
in the month of February.
Along with seminars, leader’s training and church dedications, they were scattered in their communities and witnessed 1,169 make their decision to repent of their sins and accept Jesus as their Savior. Prior to these various outreaches, they meet and encourage local believers in their community to make themselves available to disciple these new believers as they connect up with a local church fellowship and begin their journey to become true disciples of Jesus Christ. This is not accidental or casual discipleship; this is intentional discipleship to ensure these new believers are taught the uncompromised word of God and become mature in their faith and purpose.

USA – Harvest Home luncheon, March 6, 2021

Five Couples = 209 Years

Many thanks to Richard and Linda who spent a lot of time preparing food and set up for a small luncheon at the Harvest Home. We got to know each other and found out that only three people were actually born in Washington. Great testimonies, fellowship, and enjoyed an excellent meal. We were able to pray together for the members of our different families.

The five couples that attended have been married for a total of 209 years.

USA – Salt & Light fellowship, March 5, 2021

We are excited that the work setting up the small fellowship center at the Garden of Eden family ministry in west Mt. Vernon at 14799 Avon Allen Rd. is almost all completed.
We are having fellowship on Sundays from 1-3 pm, break bread as a family from 3-4 pm, and then a second service from 4-6 pm. The first service is contemporary worship and the second is gospel hymns.
We are getting the outside area prepared for spring, including the sports and games, that can be done outside as the weather permits.
We are also collecting and distributing items that can be used to help the friends in our community that live on the streets.
At the present time, we have only a one-room facility.
  • We are requesting that everyone that has small children help us as we come together.
  • No running or throwing things.
  • Please help us make sure small children are not on the music platform or the sound booth.
  • We have food available for the potluck and when it is time to eat, we request that the parents help the kids get their plate and have a place to sit.
  • Immediately after the potluck, we clean up and begin the second service.
We are making every effort to meet everyone’s needs in the time we are together which requires everyone working together.
Thanks for your cooperation.

Africa – The joy of the Lord is our strength, March 5, 2021

We are thankful for the opportunity to stand with our co-laborers in the harvest fields of their communities. Pr. Augustine continues to reach people in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo, and it is always a blessing to witness new believers that are given the opportunity and choose to make their confession public through baptism.

Pr. Patrick, who founded and over-sees the Nalidi Grace Primary School in Nalidi in eastern Uganda, works hand and hand with teachers and others in the poor community to provide education and hope, along with the gospel message to hundreds of children in the community. Even though school is under restricted guidelines, they are still trusting God every day for the food needed to take care of the orphans that live at the school because they have no other home.

Africa – Advancing the Kingdom in Africa, March 4, 2021

Jesus said, “Open your eyes and look to the fields!”

Amen and praise God

We just received a few testimonies from our coordinators in central Africa during February.

Burundi, Pr. Evariste – We had 8 outreaches in different provinces and witnessed 433 accept Jesus and 80 have been baptized. We also started the bible colleges for pastors in the Cibitoke and Bujumbura provinces. (Burundi is one of the only locations that have allowed the use of the sound and video equipment for outreaches. One of their generators that has been repaired many times now needs to be replaced.)

North Uganda, Pr. David – We had door-to-door ministry in St. Mauriz and 103 new believers accepted Jesus. A three-day crusade in the same Laroo District witnessed another 62 new believers and local believers are now discipling them. We were also able to have a training seminar for over 200 pastors and leaders in another location.

East Uganda, Pr. Titus – We were able to have a leader’s seminar in Syanyonja. Door-to-door ministry in Kirinya brought 11 new believers and in Morukebu another 21. We were blessed to visit and minister the gospel to 135 students in a primary school in Buyinja and 70 of them accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior and local believers are beginning to disciple them.

We pray divine protection over each new believer and the leaders and believers that will be teaching them how to become true disciples of Jesus Christ.
