A Word from Pastor (Papa) George
USA – Bring the army up to the flag, Sir! September 6, 2020
In the army of the Lord we need more men with the spirit of the little flag boy of the Civil War. During one of the raging battles, while bullets were flying everywhere and men were falling by the hundreds, the little lad forgot everything but to keep the flag before the army. In his haste he forgot the army. Finally he heard a shrill call saying, “Bring that flag back here!” He turned to see the army retreating and the commander beckoning for him to retreat with them.
The lad cried out, “Bring the army up to the flag, sir!” This one sentence stirred the soul of the commander until he ordered the men to advance against the enemy. It is said that out of the seeming defeat a great victory was won.
This reminds one of the little drummer boy who was with Napoleon in one of the battles. It seemed that the army of France could not overcome; thousands were falling. Napoleon said, “Lad, can you beat a retreat?” The boy replied, “Sir, I have never learned to beat a retreat, but I can beat a charge that will stir the last remains of the patriotism of the army.”
The Emperor cried, “Beat a charge then, lad.” And that charge beaten from the drum was the means of the victory being won that day.
That is the spirit we must have in the work of the Lord – that we shall never know how to retreat in the face of the enemy of the kingdom of Heaven, but that we shall be able to beat a charge that will cause others to take courage and fight on until the last foe is conquered. This is the spirit of God’s heroes.

Africa – Uganda door-to-door testimonies, September 4, 2020
We just received this testimony from Pr. Titus one of the coordinators in “locked down” Uganda, Africa.

On 22/8/2020 we had house to house evangelism in Kamunje village syanyonja parish (10) souls. On 30/8/2020 we had house to house evangelism in Syanyonja A village but none confessed hence TOTAL =19 SOULS.
Pr. Titus
“Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead, descended from David. This is my gospel, for which I am suffering even to the point of being chained like a criminal. But God’s Word is not chained. Therefore, I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they too may obtain the salvation that is Christ Jesus, with eternal glory. Here is a trustworthy saying: If we died with Him, we will also live with Him; If we endure, we will also reign with Him; If we disown Him, He will disown us; If we are faithless, He will remain faithful, for He cannot disown Himself.”
(2 Timothy 2:8-13)

USA – Sin the tyrant, September 1, 2020
Spurgeon says that when sin is let in as a suppliant, it remains as a tyrant. The Arabs have a fable of a miller who one day was startled by a camel’s nose thrust in at the door of the tent where he was sleeping. “It is cold outside,” said the camel; “I want to get my nose in.” The nose was let in, then the neck, and finally the whole body.
Presently the miller began to be inconvenienced by the ungainly companion he had in the tent that was not large enough for both. “If you are inconvenienced, you may leave,” said the camel; “as for myself, I shall stay where I am.”
This is the story of sin; when once it gains a small entrance it finally fills the entire heart and life.

USA – Helping spread the gospel, September 1, 2020
What an encouragement and blessing to join in rejoicing for the 1,041 new believers that came to faith in Jesus Christ in Burundi in the 10 outreaches that were held in 10 different communities in the month of August. Already, 206 of them have been baptized. Praise God! The gospel continues to advance thanks to the prayers and sacrificial giving of everyone in the Body of Christ.
I have been in contact with Pr. Martin in Africa and was again thrilled to hear how the gospel is going forth. Many Muslims and people under witchcraft are continuing to be set free. This week a new church family was started in the DRCongo and a few weeks ago, 3 witch doctors received Jesus Christ, and with the help of others believers burned their shrines and demonic symbols. Currently, a building is being constructed in Iganga, one of the most Muslim populated cities in Uganda. A team of 15 leaders from Kampala will be leaving to begin ministering from that location and starting home fellowships throughout the community. We recently sent them some seed money to start construction, but Pr. Martin informed me that they are in need of 4.2 million schillings to complete the roof ($1,100 USD). The church facility that is being built to hold the over-flow of new converts in Kayunga is in need of $850 USD to finish their roof. This is also a community which is strongly Muslim. Pr. Charles recently purchased a property adjacent to the building to fulfill a vision to start a primary school because there is no school close by. Some of the Muslim families have already agreed to allow their children to attend. The Harvest Kids here in Skagit and Snohomish County are selling sweet corn that their local farmer friend and their family have planted to help them get donations to start the building of the school. Corn is available at the Harvest Home, 9467 Pierce Lane, Sedro Woolley or at Walker Motor Works, 9430 State Ave, Marysville. We also have other believers that are helping fill orders while the corn is available. Kids helping Kids!
If you would like to make a donation, they can be made on line at www.myegiving/hvm or the “electronic giving” on the home page of the www.harvestvisionministries.org. You can also mail donations to Harvest Vision Ministries, PO Box 733, Sedro Woolley, WA, 98284. All donations are tax-deductible and help advance the gospel of Jesus Christ and build His Kingdom.
