A Word from Pastor (Papa) George

USA – Harvest Kids, August 22, 2020

Even though these young people just spent 5 days at the Child’s Evangelism Fellowship 5-day club, they still came to smash cans, count their change and hear and share about Jesus and his love for all people at our regular Harvest Kids fellowship the 2nd & 4th Saturday of each month.

Nalidi Grace Primary School

We were blessed with an incredible testimony from Pr. Patrick who founded and heads the Nalidi Grace primary school in east Uganda where the Harvest Kids are working to provide mosquito nets to the orphans that live at the school. They collected the money for nets for the 25 girls earlier in the year, but as soon as the school received the money the virus lockdown came and the children were without the food. The Harvest Kids agreed they should use the money for food instead of nets and they would start again. They finally raised the money and we sent it to Africa on August 10th. We then started raising money for the 35 orphan boys. This morning Pr. Patrick notified us that they were able to get all the nets for the girls and the boys with the money and only needed 9 more. They reached that goal today. Praise God!

Thanks to Madilyn for reading our scripture for the day:

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in Me. In My Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with Me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.’ Thomas said to Him, ‘Lord, we don’t know where You are going, so how can we know the way?’ Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

(John 14:1-6)

We had a great lunch, celebrated August birthdays and were blessed with a pizza that Carolyn from the Kid’s Club made special for the Harvest Kids.

Everyone enjoyed using the playdough, alligator clips and 9-volt batteries to light up their LED miniature lights. It is a blessing to watch the kids interact with each other as we share about God’s power, the light of Jesus and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in our lives.

Much thanks to Wayne for coming to encourage and share with the kids.

USA – Sell all that you have, August 17, 2020

“Jesus…. said to him, ‘You still lack one thing. Sell all that you have…and come, follow Me.’ But when he heard this, he became very sorrowful, for he was very rich.”
(Luke 18:22-23)el

Have your ever heard the Master say something very difficult to you? If you haven’t, I question whether you have ever heard Him say anything at all. Jesus says a tremendous amount to us that we listen to, but do not actually hear. And once we do hear Him, His words are harsh and unyielding. Jesus did not show the least concern that this rich young ruler should do what He told him, nor did Jesus make any attempt to keep this man with Him.

He simply said to him, ‘Sell all that you have…and come, follow Me.’ Our Lord never pleaded with him; He never tried to lure him – He simply spoke the strictest words that human ears have ever heard, and then left him alone.

You can’t be a “little bit” pregnant.

You can’t be a “little bit” bankrupt.

You can’t be a “little bit” honest.

You can’t be a “little bit” born again.

When the Body of Christ is obedient to love God with all our heart, mind, soul and strength and then love our neighbor – “Everyone, Everything, Everyday”

“And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”
(Acts 2:42-47)

USA – Garden of Eden, August 16, 2020

Garden of Eden

“The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.”
(Genesis 2:15)

“The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray. Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, he should do as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.”
(1 Peter 4:7:11)

We are thankful for the work on the Garden of Eden family ministry in west Mt. Vernon and are blessed by those that have come forth to make this vision a reality. Soon, there will be other Gardens that God will restore. We are blessed with the variety – garden, picnic area, firepit, worship trailer for praise, sharing the Word, puppet shows or videos, plus horseshoes, soccer, tetherball, badminton, bean bag & ring toss, parachutes, etc. Anointed by the Blood of Jesus and appointed by the Holy Spirit.
We are hoping to see all the gifts being used:

“Every good and perfect gift comes from Father of the heavenly lights who does not change like the shifting shadows.”
(James 1:17)

“Everyone. Everything. Everyday. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”
(Acts 2:42-47)

USA – Celebrating Africa salvations, August 17, 2020

What a blessed day that we are looking forward to.

I was blessed to share the Word with the Lyman Baptist church family yesterday morning and then spend the afternoon with Cheryl and Linda prepping the Garden of Eden for the Child’s Evangelism Fellowship 5-day club starting this morning.
We are looking forward to our annual harvest of sweet corn that has been provided by a local farmer and his family for the Harvest Kids to use for donations to help meet the needs or vulnerable children in Africa.

We finished the evening with Madilyn and Hailey learning how to use a vinyl record player. For the older generation, you might remember 33 1/3, 45 and 78 rpm records.
The morning has already been topped off because we just received the testimonies from our co-laborers in central Africa, and although the use of the sound and video equipment is only allowed in a few places, the others are active in door-to-door and 1,326 accepted Jesus last month.

We give God the praise and glory, even as we anxiously prepare for the harvest of souls here locally.
