A Word from Pastor (Papa) George

USA – Sowing seeds for harvest – November 1, 2020

“I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Jesus Christ.” (Ph 1:3-6)

I pray that all of us that are true disciples of Jesus Christ and have been blessed by God to live in the USA recognize that even though we have our share of troubles, we are in a position to help our co-workers in countries that do not have the freedom or blessings God has entrusted to us. A few nights ago Pr. Martin, the director of Harvest Vision in central Africa, shared with us some needs that they have so they can continue to spread the gospel. They have purchased property and set up a building in Iganga, a large city of 500,000 with mostly Muslims and are preparing a team of 15 ministers to go for door-to-door and begin home fellowships. They are in need of 70 chairs ($350). Martin over-sees 12 coordinators in 5 different countries and also has 19 branch churches in Uganda that has a population of 40 million. These 19 have incredible spheres of influence with pastor’s and church families in their areas. The Lord has prompted Martin to provide smartphones for those that don’t have them to begin training sessions they will be sharing with other leaders. They are needing 10 phones ($1,000). He has also been led to set up a training seminar in mid-December that requires them to travel and stay in Kampala for a few days and asked if we could help with travel and accommodations ($720). The Kibuli fellowship in the Muslim slums of Kampala will provide the food. We also are supporting other work in central Africa, Mexico and El Salvador. We appreciate those that pray and support our Christian co-laborers and would ask each of you to consider whether the Lord is prompting you to be a partner to support the expanding of the kingdom in these areas. If you are already partnering with them, please consider asking your fellow believers if they may like to join with them.

USA – 40 Days for Life testimony – October 27, 2020

A LIFE IS SAVED!

True story that happened in front of Planned Parenthood, Mount Vernon where more than 200 lives are killed each year.

I was at the end of my hour, 9:45, at Planned Parenthood this morning. Lot’s of staff there today, 12 cars and lots of young people. A car with a middle-aged Hispanic lady went to pull in and stopped and waved at me before she did. I don’t recall anything like that happening before. I waved and continued to walk and pray, “Choose life. Choose life.” At the same time the thought came to me that as soon as I left, I needed to get something to eat before I drive out to work on the shop at Cheryl’s. At 9:53, the lady that had just came pulled out drove to where I was standing with my sign. I walked to the car and looked at her glowing face. She said I want to thank you for being here. My husband and I were up all night praying for a young girl that planned on getting an abortion. She just called me and asked me to come. They let me pray with her and she chose to cancel the abortion. We were both so humbly blessed. Then she said, “By the way, are you hungry? Before I got the call I just purchased a sandwich. Can I give it to you?”
So amazing, awkward and almost embarrassing to receive God’s unconditional love simply because you love Him and are willing to “Listen and obey.”
Amazing love
We can’t outgive Him, outlive Him or outlove Him.

“Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides You.”

Psalm 73:25

The World – Pleasing God through faith – October 27, 2020

Today I’m believing God, including what He said and who He says I am. Jesus said,

“BELIEVE Me when I say I am in the Father and the Father is in Me; or at least BELIEVE on the evidence of the miracles themselves. I tell you the truth, anyone what has faith in Me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in My Name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask me for anything in My Name, and I will do it.”

John 14:11-14

“Yet at the same time many even among the leaders believed in Him. But because of the Pharisees they would not confess their faith for fear they would be put out of the synagogue; for they loved praise from men more than praise from God.”

John 12:42-43

The world sees the definition of “believe” as perceiving something as true because of the evidence.

Jesus defines “Believe” as “Become”. Because He is “Truth” and He comes with transforming power.

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose. For those God foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of His Son…”

Romans 8:28-29

During these last days, in which Jesus is preparing His Church for the final harvest and His return, we must BELIEVE the prayers and promises of Almighty God.

During these days many have united in prayer and BELIEVE,

“IF My People, who are called by My Name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My Face and turn from their wicked ways, then I WILL hear from heaven and WILL forgive their sin and WILL heal their land.”

2 Chronicles &:14

I BELIEVE in His promises.

We see blatant darkness and evil in this world, but the battle belongs to the Lord.

“What misery is mine! I am like one who gathers summer fruit at the gleaning of the vineyard; there is no cluster of grapes to eat, none of the early figs that I crave. The godly have been swept from the land; not one upright man remains. All men lie in wait to shed blood; each hunts his brother with a net. Both hands are skilled in doing evil; the ruler demands gifts, the judge accepts bribes, the powerful dictate what they desire – they all conspire together. BUT as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God WILL hear me.”

Micah 7:1-3, 7

“As for you, because of the blood of My Covenant with you, I WILL free your prisoner from the waterless pit. Return to your fortress, O PRISONERS OF HOPE; even now I announce that I will restore twice as much to you.”

Zechariah 9:11-12

USA – Tithing the tenth man in an Africa mission – October 24, 2020

After three years’ labor in an African mission, a cripple, without the use of either hands or feet, was baptized. At the end of the first year this cripple, through his personal invitation, had led thirty-one savages from warring villages to Christ. At a meeting of these converts it was proposed that every man tithe his income. The cripple suggested that every tenth man of the members give himself as a minister of the Gospel and that the other nine support him. This was joyously accepted at the first proposal. After nine years the one station had multiplied to four and the membership had grown from thirty-one to two thousand. One man by persistent effort and faith in God led two thousand to the ‘light of that one face.” Shall we do likewise?

(Excerpts from “Answered prayers and soul-winning incidents – published in 1940)
