A Word from Pastor (Papa) George

USA – Kingdom builders – December 12, 2020

Many thanks to these two young men that have been helping put together the fellowship center for the Garden of Eden family ministry. There are others and we thank them all.

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”

Colossians 3:23-24

Africa – Preach the Word in and out of season – December 8, 2020

It is a always a blessing when our coordinators in central Africa share their testimonies. Pr. Evariste in Burundi shared that diplomas and certificates were given to the pastors and leaders that completed the Bible schools in Bujumbura and Cibitoke provinces. They also used their sound and video equipment to coordinate 8 outreaches in the month of November where 445 new believers accepted Jesus and 165 have already been baptized. The pastors and leaders that help do outreaches will be meeting on January 15th to plan outreaches to the different provinces for the remainder of the new year. We were also blessed to receive these photos from Pr. Augustine who coordinates outreaches in the eastern DRCongo.

Africa – Let the little children come to Me – December 6, 2020

We are so grateful the Harvest Kids are always praying and responding to the opportunity to build God’s kingdom by helping vulnerable children in Africa. They are now partnering with Pastor Charles, the Harvest Vision coordinator in Kayunga in central Uganda, to build a primary school in this mostly Muslim community. The local church family recently acquired property and built a larger facility for the many new believers that are being saved. They also purchased a property to build a primary school for the community and they have been given favor because some of the Muslims have expressed a desire for their children to attend. The cost and time to build the new school would not allow them to be ready for the start of school in January so the government is allowing them to refurbish the old church structure to start school on condition they complete the other facility before the end of the 2021 year. This is an essential need in evangelizing to the Muslim community.

The school is named the Harvest Doves and the Harvest Kids have been saving their money to help with the $3,000. The kids are saving their donations in a 4” diameter 90mm shell casing and they have filled it up to the point they are only lacking 5 ½”. Then they will count what they have. The bullet can have anywhere from $225-$300. Harvest Vision is sending $2,500 tomorrow to expedite the completion and the kids are praying to get the last $500. They meet again at the Harvest Home on Saturday, Dec 12th from 10am-1pm. If you would like to drop off your change to help the kids or make a donation, it can be done on line or you can drop off your donation here at the Harvest Home, 9467 Pierce Lane in Sedro Woolley. These young people know and practice that “what is impossible for man – is possible with God”.

Stay tuned….We then need $2,300 for an engine for Simon’s truck so he can do evangelism to the scattered tribes along the north border of Uganda and the south border of Ethiopia and $3,500 for a bigger vehicle for Evariste in Burundi so he can safely and affordably transport the two sets of equipment that he uses in two different locations every weekend (52 per year).

USA – Harvest Kids bingo – December 8, 2020

Another fun filled and Spirit-led evening with these young people and we are blessed with their new “Bingo” ministry. Tonight was just some competitive practice. They will continue to be doing this ministry as a way to allow everyone, young and old, to do something entertaining together following their theme of “no one gets left out”.
