A Word from Pastor (Papa) George
USA – The new testament church – Everyone, Everything, Everyday, May 8, 2012
The Church is not an organization – it is an organism. Living, breathing and doing all the different things that God has called to be done. Each person doing their part with love and trusting the Father to draw those that are broken-hearted and crushed in spirit into His loving arms. Harvest Kids was awesome. Crushed cans, potted strawberries for mothers, spent time in God’s Word and enjoyed a wonderful time of fellowship. We also saw a photo of the vulnerable children in central Africa that we are building the school for. The new sign was put up at the Garden of Eden family ministry, the cover for the BBQ in the picnic area was started and ground prepared for planting the corn. Grandma Linda got the many starts of tomatoes and peppers from Mike & Pam in Birdsview and relocated them to the greenhouse on the Samish River. Preparing food that will be taken on Friday to support John Seaman and the outreach ministry by the Canadian border in central Washington. Praising God for all the workers He has put into His harvest fields around the world.

USA – Harvest Kids with CEF, May 8, 2012
What a beautiful day the Lord blessed us with for our Harvest Kids fellowship today. It seems like the first thing is introducing the people that have joined us for the first time to Hope and Dove the Harvest Rabbits and then we switch our attention to crushing the aluminum cans that people have donated. It is always special when someone happens to stop by to drop off cans when the young people are here. We were able to share how God is using the money from the recycle cans along with the change they bring when they come to meet the needs of vulnerable children in central Africa. We also shared about the new school that we are praying we will be able to fund within this next year. The cost will be $13,590 and we are praying that many in the Christian community will seize the opportunity to help these young people build another school. Linda pulled some strawberry starts for these young farmers to put in pots to give to their mothers and other special women in their lives. The special lunch surprise was making bagel faces. Lynn Griffin joined us and shared the Bible story about God’s healing powers. The lesson always helps all of us learn scriptures as they apply to our everyday lives. Lots of songs, memorizing scripture, and plenty of time for questions and answers. Her prayers always include an invitation to receive Christ or recommit yourself to your relationship with Him. Afterward, we had time to do a craft and the new people were able to put their handprints on the wall. What a wonderful way to fellowship and share testimonies with one another.

USA – Bingo at the Garden of Eden fellowship center, May 3, 2021
“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.” (1 Tim 4:12)
Thank you to Makenzy Courtney and her family that hosted an evening of community fellowship at the Garden of Eden fellowship center in west Mt. Vernon. Makenzy is a 13 year old, Constitutionally-minded, Christian, young woman that was led by the Holy Spirit to do something for her community. With the help and support from her family and friends, everyone enjoyed playing Bingo together. There were plenty of snacks and prizes and before, during the break and afterwards, the children enjoyed playing outside on the playground. Bathed in prayer from many family and friends that seized the opportunity to help this young warrior step out and slay the giants of anxiety and doubt and reduce them to no more than grasshoppers. The conversations and testimonies included sharing the visions of what the Church should be doing in context of community to be the salt of the earth and light of the world during these uncertain times. The purpose of the Garden of Eden family ministry is to prepare and equipment believers to launch out into the deep water and put down their nets just like Jesus told Peter. And just like Peter, the right answer maybe, “I fished all night and never caught anything. It is broad daylight, the nets aren’t cleaned, the fish won’t be at the top and I have to get some rest to come back tonight.
But because you say so, I will go!” The family ministry includes a garden, picnic and play area, camping area, worship trailer and fellowship center.
We are praying that this will encourage everyone, including young people and children to use their gifts. “Each one should use whatever gift they have received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.” (1 Pt 4:10) And we are praying for a family that would like to start a community petting zoo in the Garden.
