A Word from Pastor (Papa) George

USA – Harvest Kids, May 22, 2021

It was a beautiful and sunny morning, and we were blessed to have Hailey and Clara come to Harvest Kids to sacrifice their time and energy to press into what God is teaching them and to show their appreciation by helping vulnerable children, the least of these, in central Africa. They crushed all the cans that had been donated since the last Harvest Kids and then put their coins, along with other change that had been donated, into the bullet so they can finish the work on the new primary school in Uganda that already has 35 Muslim children registered. We are so excited about the opportunity for these young people, and their parents, to become acquainted with the love that Jesus has for them. Our lesson for the morning was the story of the disciples sailing with Jesus across the lake, only to be caught in the midst of a great storm. Jesus was with them but was sleeping until the disciples were afraid enough to wake Jesus up and He immediately calmed the storm. The He asked the disciples, ‘Where is your faith?” It was great to have Clara help with the drawings on the whiteboard we were using for the lesson. Later, we went to the Garden of Eden to play on the playground and set up a row of squash and cucumbers. What a blessing for the kids to see the sweet corn popping up their heads. The corn will be picked and made available for donations that will help them finish the school in Africa. Later in the fall, they will get to make their first corn maze. We are hopeful that at the next Harvest Kids, everyone will get to meet the new litter of baby Harvest Rabbits that should be about two weeks old by then.

We are thankful that the season of preparing the Garden of Eden family ministry to be used to “prepare and equip the saints” is finished. It is now available for the Body of Christ to use to each do their part and we know that soon other believers will heed the call to make all or portions of their properties, time and possessions available for the Body to use to complete it’s mission to reach the nations with the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ. During our time of labor, we have been led to have fellowship amongst the workers as the Salt and Light fellowship at 1 pm and 4 pm at the fellowship center at the Garden of Eden on Sundays. In order to ensure the fellowship center is available to accommodate others, we will no longer be meeting at 1 pm, but at 3-4 pm for a potluck and those that want to remain, we will have worship, a word, testimonies and prayer from 4-6 pm. Eventually, we pray that it will be an opportunity for those that are called to help ensure the Garden of Eden ministry is maintained and is being used to accommodate as many needs of the Body as is possible to meet and fellowship together. We will also be available to help others use their properties for all or some of the elements of ministry they have been called to do. Please check out the Garden of Eden family ministry under USA on the website:

Prayer for all Nations, Saturday, June 5th

Prayer for all Nations, Saturday, June 5th from 6 pm to June 6th at 6 am at the Garden of Eden family ministry fellowship center, 14799 Avon Allen Road, Mt. Vernon, Washington.
“The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ. For we are all baptized by one Spirit into one body – whether Jew or Greeks, slave or free – and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. God has arranged the parts in the body, every one of them, just as He wants them to be. He has combined the members of the body and has given greater honor to the parts that lacked it, so there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.” (1 Corinthians 12:12-26)
We are deeply concerned about the attacks on our freedoms, especially religious freedom, that are given to us and protected by the Constitution. Unfortunately, in our enthusiasm, we could cause harm to the body of Christ. We are blessed to have worked with the body of Christ in Mexico and Central America in concert with people from those countries that are US citizens and live in Skagit Valley but have family and friends in the countries they immigrated from. The over-emphasis of the problems we are witnessing at our southern border is not going unnoticed by Satan who always seizes the opportunity to cause division. Seeking God’s will by praying together as one body is our greatest weapon.

USA – Look to the fields. They are ripe for harvest, May 17, 2012

If you have been following the posts regarding the primary school that was started in Kayunga, Uganda you know that the old church building was refurbished to allow the school to start this year on the condition that a permanent building would be built before the end of the year. The property was purchased for the new building, Textbooks were bought by the Harvest Kids from the USA and 80 students are enrolled and teachers available. 25 students are Christian, 35 Muslims and 20 unconfirmed. We are excited about this door that God has opened for us. Unexpectedly, the District Education Officer, under some pressure, visited and has changed the agreement and demanded that construction begins within four weeks or they would shut down the school. The budget for the 2 classrooms and office for 45 students in each class is $13,590: building $4,110, roof $3,900, doors and windows $1,780 and plaster $3,800. We were blessed to have sent the $4,110 for the building and pray that will satisfy their requirements.
We were also able to make a road trip to visit the ministry in Curlew, Washington to provide food for them to give to those in need. Pr. John Seaman’s brother and family came and picked up some of the food to support the ministry they are doing in Colville and we were blessed to hear that all that foods along with the gospel message and prayers are being given out and we are praying that we will be able to continue to support the work in those places and others as the need arises.
We are also in the final week of finishing the work to complete the Garden of Eden family ministry that will provide a safe, non-threatening environment for the Body of Christ to come together and use as they seek God’s will on how each one of us, individually and in our small church families, have called us to fellowship, pray and be the salt of the earth and light of the world that God has called us to be.
