A Word from Pastor (Papa) George

USA – Be perfect and holy, June 10, 2021

Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we can not see.
We would be fools to not accept the reality of an eternal life with God because He credits His holiness and perfection to our account. It is His gift to us when we confess and accept the forgiveness of our sin that separates us from Him. It was purchased for us by the blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ of Nazareth on the cross and we have the eternal assurance of eternal life by His resurrection. We step out of grace when we become convinced we “earned” perfection and holiness, or even now can “maintain” it apart from His Grace. For we know what is required of us:
“to act justly, love mercy and walk humbly before the Lord.”
(Micah 6:8)

Africa – Pray for Uganda, June 8, 2021

Please join us in prayer for Uganda as they have experienced a significant increase in people being sick and they have now imposed a 42-day lockdown on the people. Mandela Stadium in Kampala is being used as a temporary medical facility. Business, except agriculture and food, is closed as well as schools, churches or any gatherings of the people. Pr. Martin has divided the believers into groups that will pray and fast for one week each for the next seven weeks. They are also keeping in contact with everyone either by phone or by visiting them. Even during these difficult circumstances, every day we are flooded with testimonies of people coming to faith in Jesus Christ which is exactly what Jesus said would happen.

“From the days of the John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing, and forceful men lay hold of it.” (Matthew 11:12)

USA – Enjoying the journey, June 7, 2021

What an incredible journey that we are on.

All night prayer for all nations on Saturday night and then a wonderful memorial service for a precious saint that has gone to be with the Lord.

An afternoon potluck, breaking bread as the Salt & Light family, then gospel blues, the Word of God, testimonies and prayer.

Today was our first day to see the baby rabbits that were born about two days ago, then off to the garden to plant beets and snap peas, help a young girl get items for the backpacks she bought for the homeless and taught a woman how to run the soundboard for their church family that will be meeting at the fellowship center next Sunday.

Our local farmer friend finished planting the last of the fields of sweet corn that the Harvest Kids will be selling this fall to raise the money to finish building the primary school in central Uganda in Africa.

The last couple of hours we spent with other concerned citizens from our community to educate ourselves on the Constitution and encourage one another in doing the work that God has called each of us to do for our community and to the nations.

“Many thanks on behalf of everyone that has worked with and supported Harvest Vision Ministries, especially during these last 15 months. With everyone’s help we have been able to meet the needs of many people and families that have struggled with the isolation, loneliness and simply trying to meet their basic needs. At the same time, we have been able to continue our ongoing support for evangelism, teaching, starting new church families and helping meet the basic needs of our co-laborers in central Africa, Mexico, El Salvador and other locations in the USA.

We are grateful for our community and for the opportunity to serve. We also acknowledge the contributions of the many individuals and families in our community who have bravely chosen to serve others during this time of uncertainty and unrest.”

Sincerely, Harvest Vision Ministries
