Harvest Kids Coloring Book

After starting our ministry in Africa in 2005, we became aware that many of the children in Africa are not able to afford an education and many young women aren’t encouraged to pursue an education past the first couple of years of primary school. Some can’t read and there are many different languages. Most of the countries we found ourselves involved with speak English or French, depending on the country that colonized the area. Swahili is somewhat an Africa common language for those that travel, but most people only speak their local tribal language. We were also involved in Mexico where many of the people only speak Spanish. Katie, who became involved with Harvest Vision Ministries as a teen in Mexico, and Kylee, who is George & Linda’s granddaughter, helped set up the framework for the coloring book. The book includes objects common to the USA, Mexico and Africa and includes information on each different country. All the pages have the words in English, Spanish and Swahili. It serves a practical purpose to help children and even young adults begin to read and also recognize different objects. Spiritually, it reflects the unity of the Body of Christ. Besides that, it is just plain fun.
