Offering Corn at the Farmers Market

Serving Travelers at the Rest Area

Not only do these young people help serve coffee and cookies to weary travelers at the rest area along the interstate, they also spend time to make cookies for the outreach. They love to share about their work to help vulnerable and less fortunate children in central Africa at the farmer’s market or selling corn out of a truck alongside the road – it is always an adventure. They always add to the atmosphere when we are doing any fundraiser because even more important than the donations we receive, we want everyone that attends to walk away knowing there is a Father in heaven who loves and cares about them. We also want to share with everyone that donates items or money, how that donation is being used to expand God’s kingdom as we reach out to those that are “brokenhearted and crushed in spirit” around the world. There is something special about having these young people around during a car wash or a garage sale. Their creativity, imagination and energy demonstrate why Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” (Matthew 19:14)

“The share of the man who stayed with the supplies is to be the same as that of him who went down to the battle. All will share alike. David made this a statute and ordinance for Israel from that day to this.” (1 Samuel 30:24-25)
