Africa – Burundi February salvations & baptisms, March 6, 2017

We are so thankful for Pr. Evariste and his wife, Adele, who so faithfully coordinate outreaches, help to strengthen existing church families and plant new ones and has started the bible schools to teach pastors and leaders in Burundi. Burundi is about 1/7th the size of Washington state but has a population of 12,000,000 compared to the 7,000,000 that live in Washington. Through his leadership, he has coordinated 376 outreaches in the provinces of Burundi in the last 5 years with multiple thousands accepting Jesus. We just received his testimony of the 7 outreaches that spanned 14 of the 28 days of February where 236 people accepted Jesus and 60 of those have already been baptized. We thank God for the many sacrifices that he and his family have and continue to make to build His Kingdom. Within the last two years, we were blessed to be able to help them rebuild their home that had been destroyed by bombs during the war. Even though it isn’t “finished”, it is their home and base for the nation wide ministry that he over-sees. “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider Him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lost heart.” Hebrews 12:1-3
