USA – A Harvest Kids thanks to Jim Kager, March 12, 2017
“Your prayers and gifts to the poor have come up as a memorial offering before God” (Acts 10:4). For over three years, our brother and friend, Jim Kager, who lives at the Life Care Center in Sedro Woolley, WA has been an active part of Harvest Kids. He has attended some of our events and continues to be the Harvest Kids ambassador to all the residents, staff and visiting family members and friends at Life Care. He shares the loves of Jesus on an on-going basis with sincerity, deep faith and a crazy humor that makes him hard to forget (not that anyone would want to!). He is always collecting aluminum cans that we pick up on a regular basis and has come up with many different ideas that have helped the ministry. A short time ago, as we were preparing to visit Africa, he shared a vision that God had said we were supposed to take frisbees to the vulnerable children. We quickly knew that was from the Lord, ordered them and had Jim and the Harvest Kids sign them all before they were taken and given to the children there. This week, a photo collage was made for him and the kids signedthe photo that was taken of them with the collage. Even though, Jim is limited physically, his heart, passion and appreciation for the children, locally and abroad, are genuine and real. It was wonderful to witness him sharing with Madilyn and Hailey and then to be there when Madilyn and Hailey prayed for Jim before we left. Thank you Jesus for the many older and mature believers that are helping these young people be true disciples and not just spectators.
