USA – Prepping for Harvest Kids, Jan 27, 2017
Another jam-packed day at the Harvest Home. Lot’s of sharing, fellowship and praying throughout the day. Please consider stopping by Tue-Fri from 10am-4pm at 9467 Pierce Lane in Sedro Woolley. Any other time, just mosey over to the front door and knock, there is usually someone in the house. If not and you need prayer or to chat or find out what is going on just call George, Linda, Shane, Dina or Joanna. The new can crushers that Mo purchased a few months ago have been mounted and are ready for the kids to use. We are still in need of cans for anyone that can make them available. We are excited that Cheryl and Mo are working with the San Juan Hotel in Anacortes that has volunteered to start collecting cans and donating them. Veronica and her crew finished up the work on the Bible bags that the kids will receive tomorrow at Harvest Kids for their new large print Bibles. We have been looking forward to helping the kids get more familiar with searching and applying scriptures from their own Bibles. Everyone helped box up all the cloth that has been donated for the sewing ministry. A small portion of the cloth will remain here to support the sewing ministry that is growing at the Harvest Home and the remainder stored to take to Mexico for the ministry there. After a hard day, we were blessed with Linda making macaroni & cheese for dinner, a movie with the kids and the usual sleep over. How blessed to listen to these kids say their prayers at night. Praying for their families and the people that may not have food, a place to stay or a friend to be with.
“Since my youth, O God, You have taught me, and to this day I declare Your marvelous deeds. Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, O God, till I declare Your power to the next generation, Your might to all who are to come.” Psalms 71:17-18
