All – Prayer for saints that are suffering , September 19, 2016
Thoughts and prayers for the saints that are suffering thoughout the world, that in their suffering - others that are suffering without Christ will witness the "peace that passes all understanding". Thoughts of Pr John Light, South Sudan, and family, who lost their daughter when they fled their home that is now destroyed and for his healing of the tuberculosis that they have found in his lungs. For Pr Isaac, DRCongo, who suffers chronic back pain and has been told he needs a surgery that would require him to travel to India. For Pr Evariste in Burundi, whose wife Adele's is in the "hospital" where she had surgery. For those here locally in Skagit Valley: Sheila, Kelly, Rod, Cami, Sara, Harriet, Mary and others to numerous to name.
"Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet My unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor My covenant of peace be removed,' says the Lord, who has compassion on you." (Isaiah 54:10)
"For God, who said, 'Let light shine out of darkness,' made His light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We are always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus' sake, so that His life may be revealed in our mortal body. Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." (2 Cor 4:6-11, 16-18)
In Jesus Name, Amen
