"Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it." (Heb 13:2) Many thanks to everyone that participated in sharing the love of Jesus with travelers that stopped by the Smokey Pt rest area along the I-5 interstate. It is a wonderful way to build relationships with the people that you are partnered with and to share in offering people a cup of coffee, juice and something sweet to lift their spirits, even as many of them lifted our own. Thanks also to those that made and donated cookies and Safeway in Smokey Pt that donated baked goods. It is a lot of work and expense and when people look at the "profit" it probably wouldn't make sense to those that are practical and logical. Although we did take in $440 that will be used for the Lord's work in the ministry, that is before the costs of supplies and obviously the gas that volunteers use to drive down and cover their shifts. We were able to share our faith and hope as the Spirit led with people of different faith, the homeless, unbelievers and other Christians. We were able to share about the Lord's work being done locally in Skagit Valley, and in Canada, Mexico and Central Africa and were able to learn about the Lord's work being done in the lives of other co-laborers that we met for the first time. We were blessed to encourage and even pray with some in agreement for healing, deliverance and deeper faith. We are looking forward to seeing the fruit of these new relationships and how God plans to use them. "And we know in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose." (Ro 8:28)
