Mexico - Spring Break Mission Trip 2016

Write here...

A team of 12 people from Sedro Woolley headed to Mexico on a 27 hour journey. On their first day there, Itzel surprised them at the park. They did harvest kids at the mission home, crushed bottles and had a lesson. The team brought little soap stones that came from Africa as a thank you gift for their hard work for the kids in Africa. Pastor Fidel and some friends came over to visit and sang a song together. That night, Olivia’s son Javy and his family came over to visit the team also. The next day they went to Manantial de Vida for church. They meet a team from Tijuana and played volleyball with them. With the help of veronica, Dean wrote a worship song in Spanish. Juan Manual, Danyah, Lucero, and Mayela all came over that night for fellowship and prayer. The next day, some of the team spent a few hours sewing pillowcase shorts for the kids in Africa. It was a relaxed day so the kids got to spend a lot of time at the park and playing games. The 4th day in Mexico, the team got to go to the border and make phone calls to home. That night they went to Fidel’s church – Centro de Suenos. As always, it was a very powerful night. Dean sang a song to them in Spanish and Shaneeze prayed in front of the church in Swahili, which is her first language. Day 5 the team went to Josefina and Brenda’s home to have pancakes together. They gave a necklace made by a friend from the Navajo Indian Reservation to Josefina. That afternoon, Olivia shared a story with Veronica about baptism and Veronica just knew she had to get baptized. That night they went to Manantial De Vida for a service where Dean helped with worship. Next day was their last day and they went to Candidos. Jen and Shane shared a testimony with the people there and Victor got a prophetic word from a guy. Victor went up to this random guy and hugged him, the guy started crying and said the hug was just what he needed and told Victor that he has healing hugs. It was a very powerful moment for them. That afternoon they went down to the canal and Veronica got baptized. Fidel, Miguel, Olivia and Victor baptized her then they got to have some fun playing in the water. That night they had the see you later hotdog party and headed back home. Thank you to everyone who helped get this team to Mexico. Thank you to those who helped financially and for those who prayed for this team. For 9 of the 12 people on the trip, it was their first time there. This trip was especially put together by God for his Glory. Thank you Jesus for what you did in the lives of everyone effected by this trip.
