When Linda heard that Jane Harris was sent back to Alert Bay Hospital from Campbell River because they couldn’t do anything more for her, she felt the need to make the trip. She stayed with Beatrice this time instead ofthe parsonage at Glad Tidings. There were daily visits with not only Jane, but other people that Beatrice knew in the hospital. There was always praying, scripture reading and a song or two. There was also visits with many of our friends on the island; Robin, Donna, Paula (wife of Pastor Rick), Rachel and Marcus. Went to the Tribal Elder’s lunch with Beatrice, and lunch with Robin and Beatrice at the “Passing Thyme”, where Marcus is now the chef, and we enjoyed their famous Fried Ice Cream for dessert. We went to see the renovations being done to the Glad Tidings Church…Spare time was spent either with Linda walking, doing devotions, praying and singing. On some of the songs, Beatrice would switch between English and Kwakawla. It was so heart-warming to see Jane improving each day. Apparently God has something more for her to do. Thank you, Father, for letting her be with us a little longer.
