USA - Harvest Kids, Feb 27, 2016

Lot's of cans to crush for the kids and adult helpers that came to Harvest Kids, but the kids were up to the task and we have lot's of bags ready to be taken to the recycle. After a little clean up, the kids added their change to the bullet that is used to collect the money to further meet the needs of vulnerable children in Africa and then welcomed the new kids by adding their birthdays to the birthday board and their handprints to the mural on the wall. Thanks to Rabecca and a lot of adult and youth helpers, we had a great inter-active study about the armor of God and what each piece represents to our journey of faith. In order to help the kids remember scripture verses that they have learned in the past, we had our own version of the Wheel of Fortune. Wayne shared about a new ministry that he has started to take kids on fishing trips and he helped the boys avenge their loss to the girls the last time they had their little fishing (ducking) contest. Later, Wayne returned with an actual shield and spear that are used by one of the tribes in Africa so some of the kids could see it. Every 2nd and 4th Saturday is a new adventure for everyone and we hope that more CAN be involved.  "Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground." Ephesians 6:13
